Frequently Asked Questions

How much does counseling cost?

Our hope is to reach all who are need and wanting services.  We are currently working to become service providers for SB 123 clients.  We do accept insurance and are constantly working with new insurance companies to meet needs of the area.  We also have a sliding fee scale for those who do not meet the requirements for Medicaid and do not carry insurance.  Please contact us at 785-802-9024 to further discuss options!

What about my privacy and confidentiality?

This is YOUR treatment, our focus is to help you become more aware of how your use is impacting your life as a whole.  If you are involved with the court system- we ask your permission to release information to who is involved in your case.  The collective support from the court system and therapy is often beneficial in recovery efforts.  In the case there is a report that needs to be made, we encourage the client to make that report with our support.  We do provide feedback to the courts when needed.  Within the group setting, we ask that all members of the group keep information within the group room and build a trustworthy, safe space for others to openly share.  Your information will never be given to any agency that does not have your consent to release the information.

Who can be treated?

We see clients ranging in ages from 17 to 65+.  We love to see significant others attend as well as any family members.  Addiction is a disease that imbeds itself within the entire family- to heal, means the whole family needs to work towards healing.  We offer individual, group, couples, and family therapy.

Do you only treat Substance Use problems?

Addiction is typically closely tied to underlying mental health concerns.  When we find ourselves struggling to manage emotions, trauma symptoms, or mental health symptoms we tend to resort to the quickest thing that relieves how we feel.  It is important to find ways to stop using the substance, while we also work to navigate how to decrease the symptoms and concerns that provoked the initial “cure all”.
